We are finally open! We officially opened the doors to Huntington Village Animal Hospital on March 9, 2018, and could not be more excited to be here! We have been thrilled to be getting to know all the 2 and 4 legged members of our community, and have been overwhelmed with the warm welcome we are receiving!
Located in the heart of the vibrant Huntington Village, our office is on the first floor of the Ice House on Stewart Avenue, between New York Avenue and Main Street (next door to Bin56 and Toast). We have ample on-site parking, which is a rare feature in Huntington! This includes a designated parking spot for our clients only adjacent to our main entrance, the retail parking spots in front of the hospital, as well as the parking lot to the side of the practice, and a loading zone adjacent to our side entrance available for our clients to park and bring patients directly in the hospital. We are easily handicapped-accessible, and welcome clients with any concerns to call us when they arrive and a staff member will meet you at your car and help bring your pet safely into our practice.
Once you arrive, we hope you enjoy our brand new, state of the art animal hospital! We offer all aspects of veterinary care, including routine care, preventative medicine, hospitalization, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, radoiology, emergency and critical care, and all surgery including soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. We are proud to offer the services of our board certified orthopedic surgeon who comes in for all orthopedic procedures. We offer in-house digital X-ray, and also full in-house labs for immediate results on our more critical patients. We do all dental procedures in-house, including prophylactic scaling and polishings, to complicated extractions when necessary. Regular dental cleanings can help avoid extractions and keep your pet healthy and smiling!
Our hospital was built to minimize stress on our patients (and thereby owners!), including a spacious waiting room with separate areas for cats and dogs, and separate entrance for patients (or owners!) who would prefer a more private entrance to our exam rooms. Our exam rooms are designed to continue the stress-free experience, with stress-reducing automatic lift tables with built-in scales. You will also be able to see all your patient’s X-rays, bloodwork, or any other information on the screens in the room for your continued involvement in your pet’s care. Our tall ceilings, sound attenuating insulation of our ceilings and walls, calming colors and air filtration systems are all an effort to make your and your pet’s time in our practice a pleasant and enjoyable one. We are always thrilled to hear clients first walking in the door exclaim how nice it smells in here – we appreciate that our efforts are working!
Our staff members are all dedicated to the care of your beloved pet, and we are all thrilled to have the opportunity to be practicing in this amazing community! We welcome anyone with questions to come by and meet our staff and tour our facility – we hope you will love it as much as we do!!
Stay tuned for our next blog introducing our wonderful staff!
